Gingerbread House

The kids and I put together and decorated a gingerbread house today. They have been asking for days to do it and since there was no school today, I decided it was a good day. Maddy woke up begging to start and I needed my coffee first. We finally started and they had a great time. They loved putting the candy on and Gregory loved eating the candy out of the bowl and removing candy as the girls put it on the house. He thought this was great at 8 am. We called it breakfast, since we ate as much as we put on the house.

OUR SANTAS

The kids are loving their Santa hats. They found them in the Christmas decorations and have been wearing them around. They look so cute in them. I can't resist taking pictures.

Christmas Tree Hunting

We usually cut down our own Christmas tree, but this year since we are leaving the day after Christmas for Florida, we decided to get our tree early. The Christmas tree farm wasn't opened yet, so we headed to Paulus Market to find a tree. This was much quicker and not so tiring. The kids had so much fun-especially decorating (and breaking ornaments). We love our tree and so far, we have had no major catastrophes.

Puppy Love

The kids really want a puppy, specifically a toy chihuahua (or chi-oala as Maddy calls it). Since we have a dog and are not in the market for a new one, sometimes they pretend. I caught Gregory with the leash on Maddy pretending to walk his dog. It was hilarious to see him walk his dog around the house and Maddy played along with him.
