Daddy's birthday

Greg turned 36 on September 16th. Everyone came over for dinner and cake. The girls and I had made him a cake that Alexa had wanted to make. It was cute and fun for them to make. His new speakers sound really LOUD!!!! Somehow I think the sunroom is turning into a speaker room.

1st grade field trip to Hershey Gardens

Madelynn's class took a field trip to Hershey Gardens. We go there quite often, so she was not all that excited about the trip. We learned a lot about butterflies and had lots of time to explore the gardens and find different things. It was fun and I think Maddy even had fun!

Gregory Starts Preschool

September 15th was Gregory's first day of preschool. He was very excited and had been talking about starting school for a long time. He looked so cute with with spider backpack-which is about as big as him. When the time came for him to go in, he walked right in and sat on the carpet. NO TEARS!!!!!!! This is my first experience with a child that does not cry and I LOVE it!! It makes it so much easier. I think all in all, the day went well for him. He did however, say that he was quitting school that night. He did go back on Thursday and he shed some tears, but only for a moment. Mommy spent the whole time talking to a friend and it was the first time in 7 1/2 years that Amy and I have talked without kids running around. It was really nice. I am also happy to report that this week, he ran in as soon as the door opened and didn't even say goodbye!
