Rocket Day

I missed posting a school event that was definitely news worthy. The second grade at Alexa's school builds rockets and then at the end of the year, they all launch their rockets. It is an exciting event in the second grade and they work on it throughout the year. The kids were so excited and it was a fun experience for them. I took Madelynn out of school and let her come over and watch the rocket launch...she loved it. Both of our Grammys and Papas were there to join in on the excitement. Alexa had a great day and a day she will remember for a long time!

Madelynn's 7th Birthday party

Madelynn invited the girls from her class and a few other friends for her birthday party. She had requested a party at home with t-shirts making and a pinata. She did not want the party to interfer with all the playing. She had a great time playing with all of her friends. It was her perfect party!

Party of 5 in Virginia

We took a trip at the beginning of summer to Virginia. We stayed in a Yert, which is like a tent on the outside, but a house on the inside. It was very nice. The kids got to take pony rides and they loved all the animals. There was a turkey that loved Gregory and he was terrified of it. There was a mommy peahen who had baby chicks. It was so cute to watch the chicks follow her all around. There was a foal that was a couple of weeks old and he was so cute and fun to watch.

We went out on the lake in a pontoon boat. Madelynn and Daddy loved it. Madelynn wanted to go really fast and loved steering the boat. Alexa was terrified and would have been much happier to sit on the docked boat. It was so funny to watch her face...we were only going about 5mph and you would have thought we were going 100.

The kids had a great time swimming in the pools and playing on the playgrounds. They were very busy and mommy and daddy came home a little tired. It was a fun vacation that was enjoyed by all.
