Gregory's End of the Year Program at Glee

Gregory had a program at school where he got to sing and do some dances. What an entertainer he is. He had a great time on the stage and he was so cute. The girls got to leave school to watch and they really enjoyed his singing! He had a great first year of school and can't wait to go back in the fall.

Last Day of School 2010

The last day of school finally came on June 8th. Mommy was so excited to finally have my girls home with me. Madelynn was equally excited, but Alexa as usual was very sad. This was her last day at Shepherdstown and now she is off to Upper Allen.

Another Sad Day

On Madelynn's birthday Greg's grandmother got sick. She had been living in a nursing home for a while and had been doing ok, but this sickness came on very fast. She ended up passing away on Monday, July 5th surrounded by her family. This was a shock to us as we had just buried my grandmother 3 weeks earlier. The week was spent with Greg's family and it was a great week of family stories and lots of time spent together. We had a house full of people and it was really nice to spend time together and remember all the good times spent with Grandma.

Happy 7th Birthday, Madelynn

Madelynn was so excited for her birthday. We had been on vacation until Thursday and she could not wait to get home knowing that her birthday was on Saturday. We took her to buy a red-bellied toad that she had been wanted. We got her a Pandora bracelet and a CD player. She also got a small trampoline, an American Girl doll, games for her DS and CDs for her new player. Mommy made Zhu Zhu pet cupcakes and we had chicken legs on the grill at Madelynn's request. She had a fantastic day and still had her "friend" party to look forward to.

June

June was a very difficult month for us. My grandmother had been having trouble and she got very sick. Greg and I went to be with her on June 11th. We spent the weekend with my extended family at my grandmother's bedside in the hospital. It was so difficult to see her this way, but it was a special time for all of us to have together. She passed away on Sunday morning just before we were planning to leave. We were all very sad for this loss,but so happy that she finally got to be in heaven. She was outstanding woman and it was privilege to have her in my life.
