We went to Paulus Market on Friday and Saturday nights for t Halloween Parties. The kids had a great time playing with all the kids and going on the hayride. On Friday night, the were dancing on picnic tables. Gregory loved dancing to the Monster Mash. On Saturday night, Amy read a spooky story and they all enjoyed that. They especially loved painting pumpkins and Amy sent us home with 2 pumpkins to carve which we did this morning. They had a very fun, but tiring weekend!

Party, party, party
The girls both had parties at school on Friday. Greg went to Alexa's and I went to Madelynn's. The first grade party was fun. Madelynn had a great time making tissue paper pumpkins and decorating sugar cookies. She took home so many treats-she was excited. Alexa did not have the greatest time at her party-she thought it was boring. After last year's exciting parties, it is hard to go to a party with only one craft and a cookie. It won't be long that she won't have parties at all!
Book character parade
The girls had a parade at school dressed as a character from a book. The girls had fun and all the kids looked so cute in their costumes. The girls both dressed as cowgirls. Alexa read the book "Dash" and Madelynn read "Cowgirl Kate and Cocoa." The also had to do a 2 minute book talk at school. What a fun assignment!?
Trick or Treat
We went trick-or-treating with Grammy and Papa across the street and a friend Tammy and her daughters Gracie and Emalee. The kids had a blast. The girls were running from house to house so fast we couldn't keep up. Gregory was so excited to get so much candy. Our route was finished by 7:15, so we came in and dumped our candy and started eating. It was a blast!
Happy Birthday Grammy far away
Last Football Game
Fun at the Beach
We took the kids out of school and headed to Myrtle Beach with Grammy and Papa across the street. The kids love to go to this hotel, because they have a lazy river and an indoor pool. They could not wait to take grammy and papa. We spent lots of time swimming and playing in the sand. They loved searching for shells and just running on the beach. Gregory became a regular in the hot tubs. We went to the aquarium one day and they love going there. They also got to go the build-a bear and make panda bears. Gregory, daddy and papa went to ride makerz and built a remote control car that Gregory absolutely loves. It was a fun vacation and everyone was sad to see it end. Gregory is still asking when can we go back to the hotel at the beach!

Hershey Park Fun
We all went to Hershey Park on Saturday for the last day of the season. The kids had a great time. We rode a bunch of kid rides and some they rode over and over again. They got to drive antique cars, but all Gregory could think about was driving the race cars. After some french fries and ice cream, we got in line for the race cars and the rain started falling. He loved driving the car and we were all very wet at this point. We watched the sea lion show and were totally soaked at this point. We went home very wet, but the kids had a great time and it was a fun day for all of us.

Gregory Starts Preschool
September 15th was Gregory's first day of preschool. He was very excited and had been talking about starting school for a long time. He looked so cute with with spider backpack-which is about as big as him. When the time came for him to go in, he walked right in and sat on the carpet. NO TEARS!!!!!!! This is my first experience with a child that does not cry and I LOVE it!! It makes it so much easier. I think all in all, the day went well for him. He did however, say that he was quitting school that night. He did go back on Thursday and he shed some tears, but only for a moment. Mommy spent the whole time talking to a friend and it was the first time in 7 1/2 years that Amy and I have talked without kids running around. It was really nice. I am also happy to report that this week, he ran in as soon as the door opened and didn't even say goodbye!

Philadelphia Zoo
We visited the Philadelphia Zoo with Grammy and Papa across the street. The kids were so excited. Alexa could not wait to get her face painted, so we started looking for face painters almost as soon as we got there. We left with three kids and came home with a tiger, butterfly and a pirate! They loved seeing all the animals. The got to feed the lorikeets and they landed on their arms which was super exciting for the kids. It was a fun day and we can't wait to go back and finish the zoo.
