Playdate with Molly

Alexa's best friend, Molly came over for a playdate yesterday. Alexa and Molly play very well together and had a great time. They played with their American Girl Dolls, dressed up, and even put on make up. Madelynn got to have a date with daddy. They went to BJ's to get a slushy and and a new movie. Alexa took all of these pictures on her new birthday camera. She is actually pretty good-she should be after seeing daddy taking pictures all the time!

Dancing Queen

Madelynn's Daisy troop went to a dance studio for a session. I peeked in a few times. They learned some ballet positions and then they learned a dance routine. It was so cute to see them all dancing and having a blast.

Alexa Turns 7!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We rented the skating rink and Alexa invited her class and a few other friends to come for some roller skating. It was lots of fun-Alexa had a blast. I think roller blading may be her new favorite thing to do. Her 1st grade teacher even came which was the highlight of the party. Alexa got to skate with her and all her friends. Gregory even had his own pair of blades. All of the grandparents, except papa far away, skated. It was definitely fun for all.
On Sunday, her actual birthday, we went to the Olive Garden with both sets of grandparents and Uncle Michael, Aunt Jenna and Jackson. This is her favorite place to eat and she had lots of fun opening all her gifts and eating more cake!

Bedtime pals

I went in to check on the kids before I went to bed last night. I went to Gregory's room first and was a little alarmed when I couldn't find him anywhere. I decided to go into the girls' room and I found him asleep beside Alexa. It was so cute. I took some pictures and then carefully moved him back to his bed!

Playground with the Gossages

We decided to go to Friendship Park with the Gossage Family on Sunday afternoon. It was a beautiful day and kids needed to run around outside a little. They had so much fun. They hit balls with bats, jumped off of the bleachers, and played on all the equipment. It was a really fun time for everyone and kids left tired and happy-both signs of a good day!

Final basketball game

Alexa cheered in her final basketball game of the season. For this game, the girls learned a pom-pom routine and performed it at half time. It was so cute and the girls did such a good job. I was so proud of Alexa for all of her hard work!

Variety Show

Alexa participated in the variety show at school. She was a cat and the group sang The Unicorn Song. It was a funny song about Noah's ark and why the unicorns did not end up on the ark. It was a very fun evening for all, especially Alexa. She did a great job on stage and had so much fun. We all went for Maggie's Italian Ice after the show-even though it was so cold!

Jackson turns 5

Jackson's 5th birthday party was at the bowling alley. They kids had a great time bowling and eating the really cool dog cake. On his actual birthday, we went to Olive Garden for dinner, a family favorite.

Tooth Fairy Does Double Duty

Last night, Alexa finally let Daddy pull her second loose tooth. It was barely hanging and I was worried it would fall out while she was sleeping. There was so blood involved with this, but surprisingly Alexa did not freak out. She put a tissue on her gums and didn't even cry. She wrote the tooth fairy a note asking to keep her tooth, which she did honor! The note got a little wet in the bathroom, but if you look closely you can see her kid writing.

Alexa Loses a Tooth!

Finally-Alexa lost her first tooth. She has had two very loose teeth for a couple of weeks and one of them finally came out this morning. She really wanted to lose it at school, because you get a special treasure box, but she lost this one home. Mommy and Daddy were happy that we got to be there for this very exciting event. Hopefully the second one will fall out at school-the tooth fairy may have to do double duty tonight!

Fun at the Park

The weather was beautiful this weekend and my grandmother and cousin were visiting. They brought along my cousin's daughter, Micah whom my children love. The girls were so excited! They all went to the park and we visited chocolate world in Hershey. Daddy and Gregory had to stay home, because they were sick and daddy was very tired. We had lots of fun, but we missed them a lot. They had a sleepover at Jackson's house and this was the highlight of the weekend. If only Micah lived a little closer!

Bike Riding and Skating

We have finally had some nice weather and we could go outside and play. The kids have been asking for weeks to ride bikes and play outside, so they were very excited-especially to be able to wear short sleeves. Alexa practiced roller blading, as did Madelynn and both of them rode their bikes. Alexa learned to ride without training wheels last year, so hopefully this year we can teach Madelynn. Gregory surprised us all by getting on his "bike" and pedalling away. I am so excited that he can finally pedal.

Variety Show Practice

Alexa is going to be a part of the variety show again this year. Her group is going to be singing an Irish Unicorn Song. It is so cute and she is so excited to be a cat. Last week we had the group-13 1st graders to our house to practice. Aside from being a little crazy, the kids practiced hard and did a great job. They did have the chocolate cupcakes as motivation!

Happy Birthday Zoe

Madelynn's best friend Zoe had a gymnastic birthday party. Alexa and Madelynn had a great time. They got to do gymnastics for about 45 minutes, which they thought was great. They then had snacks and cookies-buttermilk cookies-Alexa's favorite! Gregory slept through almost the entire party and was woken up by all the little girls. He had fun running around with Luke and getting lots of attention from all the little girls!

Happy Birthday Wyatt

We all went to Wyatt's birthday party. Wyatt always has very fun birthday parties and this was no exception. The kids had homemade play dough and slime to play with. They had the gym to run around in and boxes to crawl through. The food was enjoyed by all, mommy especially enjoyed the homemade coffee ice cream. Gregory loved running around with big kids and he made a friend. One of Wyatt's cousins ran around with him and played with him the whole time. He loved this! The kids went home tired and full-What a fun night!

Roller Blading

Greg, the girls and I went roller blading/roller skating with Alexa's school. It was the first time Maddy had skated at a rink and only the 2nd time for Alexa. Mommy and Daddy hadn't skated in years. We had a great time. The kids loved it and Alexa was quite skilled for only having done it twice. It was actually her first time on roller blades and she loved them. She decided she wanted to skate for her birthday, so we are now having a roller skating birthday party!
