Springtime in January
We have had a couple of really nice days in January. On one of these days we decided to take the kids to a new park. Our neighbor, Lindsay went with us. The kids had so much fun running around and it was so nice to see them get out some of their pent up energy. It was a great day and we can't wait for spring!
Farm Show
The kids were so excited to go to the farm show. They remembered that we got peacock feathers there last year and they were eager to find them this year. We did find them and they each brought one home. We also got to pet bunnies and cows. We saw ducklings and baby chicks. The kids loved all the animals, but the highlight was walking by a cow that started to poop. The kids thought it was hilarious! We had good milkshakes and great french fries. It was a really fun day for everyone.
New Year's Eve
We went back to Hershey for New Year's Eve. We had a great time swimming and we visited Chocolate World. The kids had lots of fun - they love swimming! Michael, Jenna and Jackson came to swim with us on New Year's Eve morning and the kids had a really fun time with them. We had a great room and could see the fireworks at Hershey Park from our window. Alexa stayed up to watch with us. Madelynn really wanted to, but she was too tired and fell asleep. She wanted us to wake her up, but I tried and couldn't. What a super great way to start the new year!
Visit with the Razvillas Family
Greg's sister and her family were here visiting for the Christmas holiday. On Christmas Eve the kids had a great time playing in the snow. After Christmas, we visited Chocolate World and went roller skating. The kids had a great time with their cousins. They loved visiting with them and getting to hang out with them.
Christmas Day
The kids were so excited this Christmas. Gregory could not wait for Santa to come. He wanted a raker (Frank for the Cars movie). The girls wanted American Girl dolls and horses. Gregory got a whole Radiator Springs city and the girls got their dolls and horses. They got all kinds of American Girl first aid things that they wanted such as casts and a wheel chair. They also got Light Brights which were fun for me since I used to play with them. They also got Rock Band for the WII which is super fun. They love it. Gregory got lots of cars and a drum. He was so excited and is still asking when Santa is coming back! It was also special this year, because my grandmother was here with us for Christmas morning.
Weekend in Hershey #1
We decided to go to the hotel in Hershey for the weekend just for a little getaway. It was a crazy weekend. Greg and I were going to a play at church on Saturday afternoon, so we had to come back for the afternoon and then go back. We spent lots of time at the pool and the kids even talked us into playing on the playground. They had a great weekend and didn't want to come home.
Madelynn loses a tooth
Busy December Saturday
We went to Lowe's to make a wooden gingerbread house, then onto Home Depot to make a wooden wagon. After all that building we went to the Bass Pro Shop for even more crafts and to see Santa. The kids all sat on Santa's lap and told him what they wanted. They loved it and were so excited to see him. It was a really fun, but tiring day!
Look Mom - No Training Wheels
We took Madelynn's training wheels off at the very end of summer. She had practiced, but had never really ridden around. We had a really warm day and they wanted to ride bikes. Madelynn got right on her bike and took off like she had been doing it forever. She had a really fun time and was so proud of herself.
Virginia in November
We took a weekend trip to Virginia. It was a really fun trip. We spent lots of time swimming in the indoor pool, although there were people swimming outside (crazy). We also spent some time petting and feeding the horses. The kids loved the horses. We played on the playground and played mini golf. It was a fun weekend!
